This depends entirely on the job at hand and the best way to achieve the desired finish. Each method has its benefits, for example:
Brush – Painting with a brush is often necessary when coating areas such as textured walls. We often use paintbrushes to finish areas that are difficult to reach such as corners or in repainting doors & frames
Roll – For smooth surfaces, using a paint roller provides an even coating that results in a flawless and attractive finish. It is also beneficial to use a paint roller when painting heavily textured areas on exterior paint applications and areas such as painting wood siding.
Spray – Spray painting may be required to coat surfaces such as exterior stucco or when painting eaves on a residential and commercial painting projects
The price you have been quoted is the price you will pay. MPOD does not believe in hiding anything from you. However, nobody will be able to determine the condition of hidden elements of your home. For example, if there are any rotted or damaged parts concealed in your walls, MPOD does not simply cover up and conceal these items from you. You will be given the opportunity to personally inspect these areas and you will be given a price for repairs before you ever incur any charges. There will never be any surprise charges that you have not been made aware of and have not authorized.
For majority of our projects we use Sherwin Williams paints. The Sherwin Williams color matching system enables us to match any color you can imagine. They also have the ability to produce any color from all of their competitors.
We also use Benjamin Moore , Behr as well as Home Depot paints depending on certain paint application where these may be specified or requested.
Each and every painting project that MPOD does, commercial or residential, is overseen by a professional Project Manager. Shortly after you approve the contract you will be contacted to set up an appointment with your Project Manager. This step is called “pre-walk”.
Your Project Manager will meet with you and go over every step of the project to confirm exactly what is going to be done. Your Project Manager will even schedule a date and time when you will meet with him to final walk your project and insure your total and complete satisfaction. This step is called “final walk”.
Your Project Manager is there for more than just the pre-walk and final walk. He is your primary contact for all phases. You will be given your Project Manager’s cell phone number so that you may contact him any time. Your Project Manager will conduct on-site inspections of every phase of your project from start to finish.
Without a written contract for your painting project, there is no way to ensure that your expectations of product, installation, project scope and pricing are being met.
Don’t be shy about asking any painting contractor to clarify the proposal. Ask lots of questions and each contractor the same questions for consistency. Insist upon a written proposal. Examine it to make sure you think it is complete and fair. Do not settle for an oral agreement on any of the work to be performed. Have the painting company document all points clearly in writing. At MPOD, our detailed proposal becomes our contract so that you can clearly see what you are getting and what it costs. No surprises.
